Alumni Programme

Alumni Programme

Welcome to our Coram Deo Alumni Programme

Together with the Supervision programme we refer to it as the Third Year of studies at Coram Deo. Alumni normally consists of students who completed their basic studies at an institution. In this case you could have completed your workshops/training in narrative work at any reputable institution or recognised narrative practitioner.

Consequently our programme is open to anyone but there are some terms that you have to take note of. One of these is that the Alumni programme should not be seen as a foundational training in a narrative approach (as relevant to coaching, therapy and other work with people). That being said, some modules do go over the ideas of narrative work. Please consult the document below (‘Learn More’) for more specific information.

For students at Coram Deo specifically it is a year that challenges them to think about what they have learned but aimed at radically different contexts than what their natural inclination might be. The outcome of this is to help them towards mastery of their knowledge and application as the programme forces them to engageseveral contexts.

For the present year the modules covered include:

  • Story development (enhancing our helping role as counsellors, consultants, other roles with ideas about how stories are developed)
  • Children’s therapy
  • Storying organisations and Relational leadership
  • Pastoral narrative intersections with other professions
  • Families in transition (separation and divorce)
