We look forward to meeting participants online on 14-15 August. We commence at 14:30 on Friday the 22nd for the afternoon. We then rejoin the next morning, starting 08:30. Information that might change will be communicated to registered participants, so please register as soon as possible even if payment can be made later. Final communication will be sent the Wednesday before commencement
Student notice: This course is part of our pre-selected 2020 courses for our annual CPD programme. While, for those students the course fee is covered by their annual tuition fee, registration is required for our CPD records.
Course description
In South Africa a narrative approach to therapy has been adopted to a significant extent in pastoral communities giving rise to pastoral narrative therapy. The progress in neuroscience developed strongly over the last decades. Proponents in narrative therapy started to consider how their way of working and looking at the world corresponds to neuroscience. This finds expression in interpersonal neurobiology or in short neuro-narrative. Yet if we are to follow this line of development considering the pastoral communities’ strong inclination towards a narrative approach one would do well to account for developments of neuro-theology.

The different aspects of the programme are covered by several lecturers to be updated in the time leading to the course.

Audience clarification
** Coram care membership allows participants reduced rates throughout the year. Members must attend a reasonable amount of free community learning events online or in different regions. The events and topics can be arranged by themselves but in conjunction with Coram Deo to ensure it deals with at least one four broad objectives of the Coram Care initiative. Such gatherings are also CPD bearing with some professional associations.

Accreditation
Note that participants may choose to do this programme as a Successfully completed course or an Attendance course. The successfully completed certificate makes use of an additional reflective assignment or an in-class assignment structured by the lecturer.
