About

Coram Deo is pastoral counselling and narrative therapy training centre. Adult students study in Centurion Pretoria and online with some learning communities across the country. We are likely one of the earliest organisations in South Africa where the entire organisation is aimed at advancing the theory and practice of narrative therapy in conjunction with pastoral care and counselling.

Training seeks to equip those who will apply these practices in various community settings.  In community settings pastoral narrative practices advance hope by addressing mental health and related challenges in society (from trauma, grief, loss, addiction, abuse, working with children and teenagers and more). It can also lead to a professional private counselling practice or serve participants to be better equipped in working with people in their work or personal environment.

What we’d like to see happen

To identify, reach out through various means and platforms, speak in front of, and build relationships with relevant audiences to promote training programmes, create counselling centre awareness and engage internal and external stakeholders who support our sustainability in various ways. There is a set priority in what we want to see and this provides the framework of the goals and timeframes the successful applicant will set themselves.

What the position is not

The position compliments existing digital marketing efforts. Digital marketing is not the focus, but prior exposure and experience will count in the applicant’s favour.
